Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 24,000.00 (€ 35,619.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alexander Coosemans - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Composition À La Corbeille De Fruits, Au Homard Et À La Bouteille En Faïence De Delft, which sold at auction in June 2012 for EUR 75,787.00.
