In October 2019 Phillips in an online auction held the auction 24/7, which included the work Dippin’ Dusk by Alex Face. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 81,250.00 (€ 9,286.75), 40% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Alex Face have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Breathe in March this year with an auction result of HKD 533,400.00 (€ 62,455.68).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 40 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2019 führte Phillips in einer Online-Auktion die Auktion 24/7 durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dippin’ Dusk von Alex Face zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 81.250,00 (€ 9.286,75) und damit 40% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alex Face auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Breathe im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 533.400,00 (€ 62.455,68).
