Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Two works: (i) Airplanes #21 (Ethiopian); (ii) Airplanes #1 (Xiamen Airlines) by Aleksandra Mir was auctioned at Phillips in New York in March 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 2,268.00 (€ 1,931.36). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Aleksandra Mir achieve. Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Two works: (i) Airplanes #21 (Ethiopian); (ii) Airplanes #1 (Xiamen Airlines) von Aleksandra Mir im März 2021 bei Phillips in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 2.268,00 (€ 1.931,36) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Aleksandra Mir erzielen.
