This artwork by Alejandro Cardenas achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in June last year. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Parodoxa view 9 sold for GBP 27,720.00 (€ 32,202.75) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alejandro Cardenas - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work One of the Lovelist Shadow, which sold at auction in May this year for HKD 819,000.00 (€ 98,166.23).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Alejandro Cardenas erzielte im Juni letzten Jahres bei Phillips in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Parodoxa view 9 für GBP 27.720,00 (€ 32.202,75) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Alejandro Cardenas mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit One of the Lovelist Shadow beobachtet, die im Mai diesen Jahres für HKD 819.000,00 (€ 98.166,23) versteigert wurde.
