Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2010 Sothebys in London held the auction The Greek Sale, which included the work Greek The Beautiful World Being Burned And Asking For Help by Alékos Kondópoulos. The price achieved of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 29,290.97) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alékos Kondópoulos have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Greek Présence D'Un Souvenir (Presence Of A Memory) in April 2008 with an auction result of GBP 102,500.00 (€ 130,673.02).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2010 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Greek Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Greek The Beautiful World Being Burned And Asking For Help von Alékos Kondópoulos zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 29.290,97) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alékos Kondópoulos auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Greek Présence D'Un Souvenir (Presence Of A Memory) im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 102.500,00 (€ 130.673,02).
