Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction The Greek Sale, which included the work Greek Modern Composition by Alékos Kondópoulos. The price achieved of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 12,090.75) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alékos Kondópoulos achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Greek Présence D'Un Souvenir (Presence Of A Memory) in April 2008 with an auction result of GBP 102,500.00 (€ 130,673.02).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Greek Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Greek Modern Composition von Alékos Kondópoulos zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 12.090,75) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alékos Kondópoulos erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Greek Présence D'Un Souvenir (Presence Of A Memory) im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 102.500,00 (€ 130.673,02).
