Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Akeley, Minnesota by Alec Soth was auctioned at Phillips in New York in October this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 4,064.00 (€ 3,845.57) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alec Soth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Charles, Vasa, Minnesota in April 2021 with an auction result of USD 113,400.00 (€ 94,264.34).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Akeley, Minnesota von Alec Soth kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 4.064,00 (€ 3.845,57) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alec Soth erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Charles, Vasa, Minnesota im April 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 113.400,00 (€ 94.264,34).
