Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April this year Phillips in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work The Reverend and Margaret's bedroom, Vicksburg, Mississippi by Alec Soth. The »bidding war« ended at USD 9,525.00 (€ 8,627.72), 19% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alec Soth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Charles, Vasa, Minnesota in April 2021 with an auction result of USD 113,400.00 (€ 94,264.34).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April diesen Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Reverend and Margaret's bedroom, Vicksburg, Mississippi von Alec Soth zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 9.525,00 (€ 8.627,72) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alec Soth erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Charles, Vasa, Minnesota im April 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 113.400,00 (€ 94.264,34).
