This price was achieved in the auction Travel and Vintage Posters at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 800.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Aldo Cosomati; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Wimbledon Tournament sold at auction in October 2012 with the realized price of GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,973.30).
