Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2002 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work A haybarge on the IJ, Amsterdam in the distance by Albert Jurardus van Prooijen. The price achieved of EUR 1,792.50 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Albert Jurardus van Prooijen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sailing vessels in a stiff breeze in January 2001 with an auction result of NLG 17,625.00 (€ 7,712.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2002 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A haybarge on the IJ, Amsterdam in the distance von Albert Jurardus van Prooijen zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.792,50 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Albert Jurardus van Prooijen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sailing vessels in a stiff breeze im Januar 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 17.625,00 (€ 7.712,36).
