Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Albert Irvin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in September 2020. In the Modern British and Irish Art auction, the work Battersea VI sold for GBP 11,312.50 (€ 12,473.87) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Albert Irvin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Study For Homerton, which sold at auction in July 2007 for GBP 18,000.00 (€ 26,734.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Albert Irvin erzielte im September 2020 bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art wurde die Arbeit Battersea VI für GBP 11.312,50 (€ 12.473,87) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Albert Irvin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Study For Homerton beobachtet, die im Juli 2007 für GBP 18.000,00 (€ 26.734,16) versteigert wurde.
