The result of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 17,385.03) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alan Charlton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Channel Painting no.4, which sold at auction in February 2016 for GBP 43,750.00 (€ 56,060.22).

Die Arbeit 3 Part Painting von Alan Charlton kam im Februar 2020 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 17.385,03) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Alan Charlton mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Channel Painting no.4 beobachtet, die im Februar 2016 für GBP 43.750,00 (€ 56.060,22) versteigert wurde.
