Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 11 Vertical Parts by Alan Charlton was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Christies in London in March 2018. It changed hands for a price of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 21,347.91) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alan Charlton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Channel Painting no.4, which sold at auction in February 2016 for GBP 43,750.00 (€ 56,060.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit 11 Vertical Parts von Alan Charlton wurde im März 2018 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 21.347,91) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Alan Charlton mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Channel Painting no.4 beobachtet, die im Februar 2016 für GBP 43.750,00 (€ 56.060,22) versteigert wurde.
