Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portraits of the Artist's Wife: Two Works by Aiden Lassell Ripley was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,176.00 (€ 2,007.57) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Aiden Lassell Ripley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work In Quail Country in June 2001 with an auction result of USD 204,000.00 (€ 240,736.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portraits of the Artist's Wife: Two Works von Aiden Lassell Ripley kam im August diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 2.176,00 (€ 2.007,57) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Aiden Lassell Ripley erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit In Quail Country im Juni 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 204.000,00 (€ 240.736,37).
