Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Aiden Lassell Ripley could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in April 2011 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Paintings auction, the work A Covey Rise changed hands for USD 8,750.00 (€ 5,903.79) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Aiden Lassell Ripley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work In Quail Country in June 2001 with an auction result of USD 204,000.00 (€ 240,736.37).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Aiden Lassell Ripley konnte im April 2011 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion American Paintings wechselte die Arbeit A Covey Rise für USD 8.750,00 (€ 5.903,79) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Aiden Lassell Ripley erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit In Quail Country im Juni 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 204.000,00 (€ 240.736,37).
