In October 2003 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction SOUTHEAST ASIAN PICTURES, which included the work Still life by Ahmad Zakii Anwar. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 26,290.00 (€ 2,914.57), 64% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ahmad Zakii Anwar achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Man in April 2007 with an auction result of SGD 72,000.00 (€ 34,682.28).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 64 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2003 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion SOUTHEAST ASIAN PICTURES durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still life von Ahmad Zakii Anwar zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 26.290,00 (€ 2.914,57) und damit 64% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ahmad Zakii Anwar erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Man im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SGD 72.000,00 (€ 34.682,28).
