The work Man And Shell by Ahmad Zakii Anwar was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2008. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 100,000.00 (€ 8,241.26), 33% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Ahmad Zakii Anwar have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Man in April 2007 with an auction result of SGD 72,000.00 (€ 34,682.28).

Die Arbeit Man And Shell von Ahmad Zakii Anwar wurde im April 2008 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 100.000,00 (€ 8.241,26) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ahmad Zakii Anwar auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Man im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SGD 72.000,00 (€ 34.682,28).
