Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2008 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings, which included the work Legong Dancer by Ahmad Zakii Anwar. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 150,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 168,750.00 (€ 13,907.13). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ahmad Zakii Anwar - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Man, which sold at auction in April 2007 for SGD 72,000.00 (€ 34,682.28).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2008 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Legong Dancer von Ahmad Zakii Anwar zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 150.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 168.750,00 (€ 13.907,13) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Ahmad Zakii Anwar mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Man beobachtet, die im April 2007 für SGD 72.000,00 (€ 34.682,28) versteigert wurde.
