Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lelehan Emas Pada Bidang Keriput (Molten Gold Upon A Field Of Ridges) by Ahmad Sadali was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 320,000.00 – 480,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 325,000.00 (€ 34,292.70) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ahmad Sadali achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Composition with Orange Background in April last year with an auction result of HKD 5,292,000.00 (€ 639,841.32).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Lelehan Emas Pada Bidang Keriput (Molten Gold Upon A Field Of Ridges) von Ahmad Sadali wurde im April 2018 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 320.000,00 – 480.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 325.000,00 (€ 34.292,70) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ahmad Sadali erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Composition with Orange Background im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.292.000,00 (€ 639.841,32).
