The work Jawara Lokal #2 by Agus Suwage was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in November 2021. It achieved a price of HKD 151,200.00 (€ 16,811.91), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 26%. Admittedly, works by Agus Suwage have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Impermanence Landscape in April 2011 with an auction result of HKD 1,460,000.00 (€ 126,879.43).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 26 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Jawara Lokal #2 von Agus Suwage kam im November 2021 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 151.200,00 (€ 16.811,91) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 26%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Agus Suwage auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Impermanence Landscape im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.460.000,00 (€ 126.879,43).
