Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Holy Politician by Agus Suwage was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2014. The price achieved of HKD 187,500.00 (€ 19,303.67) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. Admittedly, works by Agus Suwage have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Impermanence Landscape in April 2011 with an auction result of HKD 1,460,000.00 (€ 126,879.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Holy Politician von Agus Suwage wurde im Oktober 2014 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 187.500,00 (€ 19.303,67) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 150.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Agus Suwage auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Impermanence Landscape im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.460.000,00 (€ 126.879,43).
