Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2020 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art Day Sale, which included the work The Kiss #4 by Agus Suwage. The price achieved of HKD 201,600.00 (€ 22,328.84) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 160,000.00 – 260,000.00. Admittedly, works by Agus Suwage have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Impermanence Landscape in April 2011 with an auction result of HKD 1,460,000.00 (€ 126,879.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Kiss #4 von Agus Suwage zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 201.600,00 (€ 22.328,84) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 160.000,00 – 260.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Agus Suwage auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Impermanence Landscape im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.460.000,00 (€ 126.879,43).
