In October 2013 Christies in Dubai held the auction Modern and Contemporary Arab,Iranian and Turkish Art Part II, which included the work Recrudescence by Afshin Pirhashemi. The »bidding war« ended at USD 161,000.00 (€ 118,434.60), 34% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Afshin Pirhashemi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Seduction, which sold at auction in October 2010 for USD 518,500.00 (€ 373,182.67).

Im Oktober 2013 führte Christies in Dubai die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Arab,Iranian and Turkish Art Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Recrudescence von Afshin Pirhashemi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 161.000,00 (€ 118.434,60) und damit 34% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Afshin Pirhashemi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Seduction beobachtet, die im Oktober 2010 für USD 518.500,00 (€ 373.182,67) versteigert wurde.
