This price was achieved in the auction Fine Art at VAN HAM and exceeded the previously set estimate of EUR 4,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Aernout Smit have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Dutch three-master firing a salute, together with numerous other ships near a quay to the left, a windmill in the distance and outskirts of towns on the far horizon in October 2021 with an auction result of EUR 62,500.00.

Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Fine Art bei VAN HAM erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten Schätzpreis von EUR 4.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Aernout Smit auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Dutch three-master firing a salute, together with numerous other ships near a quay to the left, a windmill in the distance and outskirts of towns on the far horizon im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 62.500,00.
