Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A view of a French chateau amongst the trees by Adrien Moreau was sold in the British and Continental Watercolours and Drawings auction at Christies in London in September 2001. The price achieved of GBP 94.00 (€ 151.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25.00 – 200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Adrien Moreau achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Carnival Procession in November 2001 with an auction result of USD 61,100.00 (€ 68,207.19).
