Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Beneath the cherry blossom by Adrien Moreau was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2012. The price achieved of GBP 15,625.00 (€ 19,468.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Adrien Moreau - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Carnival Procession, which sold at auction in November 2001 for USD 61,100.00 (€ 68,207.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Beneath the cherry blossom von Adrien Moreau kam im Mai 2012 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 15.625,00 (€ 19.468,06) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Adrien Moreau mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Carnival Procession beobachtet, die im November 2001 für USD 61.100,00 (€ 68.207,19) versteigert wurde.
