The work The lily pond by Adrien Moreau was sold in the 19th Century European Art auction at Christies in London in March 2017. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,789.26), 50% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Adrien Moreau have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Carnival Procession in November 2001 with an auction result of USD 61,100.00 (€ 68,207.19).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit The lily pond von Adrien Moreau wurde im März 2017 in der Auktion 19th Century European Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.789,26) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Adrien Moreau auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Carnival Procession im November 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 61.100,00 (€ 68.207,19).
