Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2014 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Art Evening Auction, which included the work Green Song by Adriana Varejão. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 600,000.00 – 800,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 602,500.00 (€ 769,305.47) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Adriana Varejão have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in February 2011 the work Parede com Incisões a la Fontana II (Wall with Incisions a la Fontana II) was auctioned for GBP 1,105,250.00 (€ 1,301,892.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2014 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Art Evening Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Green Song von Adriana Varejão zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 600.000,00 – 800.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 602.500,00 (€ 769.305,47) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Adriana Varejão konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Februar 2011 die Arbeit Parede com Incisões a la Fontana II (Wall with Incisions a la Fontana II) für GBP 1.105.250,00 (€ 1.301.892,03) versteigert.
