Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Dalau by Adrian Heath was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in July this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 6,400.00 (€ 7,466.86). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Adrian Heath achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Painting With Orange And Purple in October last year with an auction result of GBP 163,800.00 (€ 190,825.19).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Dalau von Adrian Heath im Juli diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 6.400,00 (€ 7.466,86) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Adrian Heath erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Painting With Orange And Purple im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 163.800,00 (€ 190.825,19).
