Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Trip by Adrian Ghenie was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2021. It changed hands for a price of HKD 48,026,000.00 (€ 5,141,935.83) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 39,000,000.00 – 49,000,000.00. Other works by Adrian Ghenie have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May last year the work Pie Fight Interior 12 was auctioned for HKD 81,060,000.00 (€ 9,623,561.64).
