Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Degenerate Art by Adrian Ghenie was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May last year. It changed hands for a price of USD 9,286,700.00 (€ 8,654,086.29) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 7,000,000.00 – 10,000,000.00. Other works by Adrian Ghenie have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May last year the work Pie Fight Interior 12 was auctioned for HKD 81,060,000.00 (€ 9,623,561.64).
