In November 2010 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Masters and 19th Century Art, which included the work A 'roemer' of white wine, a loaf of bread, oysters and a smaller 'roemer' on a silver plate with a shell and a folded piece of paper containing pepper, all on a draped table by Adriaen Jansz. Kraen. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 50,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 55,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Adriaen Jansz. Kraen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A roemer, an upturned tazza, grapes, peaches and salmon on pewter platters, olives in a porcelain bowl, and other objects on a partly draped table, which sold at auction in July 2013 for GBP 121,875.00 (€ 139,263.43).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2010 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Masters and 19th Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A 'roemer' of white wine, a loaf of bread, oysters and a smaller 'roemer' on a silver plate with a shell and a folded piece of paper containing pepper, all on a draped table von Adriaen Jansz.
