This artwork by Adriaan Lubbers achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in May 2006. In the 20th Century Art auction, the work Downtown Manhattan sold for EUR 19,200.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Adriaan Lubbers - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work New York, which sold at auction in May 2010 for EUR 58,600.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Adriaan Lubbers erzielte im Mai 2006 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century Art wurde die Arbeit Downtown Manhattan für EUR 19.200,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Adriaan Lubbers mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit New York beobachtet, die im Mai 2010 für EUR 58.600,00 versteigert wurde.
