In October 2021 Christies held the auction Made In Holland, which included the work The El by Adriaan Lubbers. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 20,000.00 33% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Adriaan Lubbers - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work New York, which sold at auction in May 2010 for EUR 58,600.00.

Im Oktober 2021 führte Christies die Auktion Made In Holland durch, in der auch die Arbeit The El von Adriaan Lubbers zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 20.000,00 und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Adriaan Lubbers mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit New York beobachtet, die im Mai 2010 für EUR 58.600,00 versteigert wurde.
