Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Burst #6 by Adolph Gottlieb was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction at Bonhams in May this year. The »bidding war« ended at USD 107,475.00 (€ 100,877.60), 19% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Adolph Gottlieb achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bonac in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 4,812,500.00 (€ 4,250,198.71).
