Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Black Ground, Red Disc by Adolph Gottlieb was sold in the Prints and Multiples auction at Bonhams in June this year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,664.00 (€ 1,936.61). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Adolph Gottlieb achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bonac in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 4,812,500.00 (€ 4,250,198.71).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Black Ground, Red Disc von Adolph Gottlieb wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Prints and Multiples bei Bonhams versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.664,00 (€ 1.936,61) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Adolph Gottlieb erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bonac im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.812.500,00 (€ 4.250.198,71).
