The price achieved of GBP 1,762.50 (€ 2,879.68) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Other works by Adolphe Beaufrère have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in September 2001 the work Paysage à la colline rouge was auctioned for GBP 1,880.00 (€ 3,035.40).
