Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Le Lac by Adolphe Beaufrère was auctioned at Artcurial in Paris in June 2018, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 50.00 – 80.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 13.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Adolphe Beaufrère achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Paysage à la colline rouge in September 2001 with an auction result of GBP 1,880.00 (€ 3,035.40).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Le Lac von Adolphe Beaufrère im Juni 2018 bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 50,00 – 80,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 13,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Adolphe Beaufrère erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Paysage à la colline rouge im September 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.880,00 (€ 3.035,40).
