Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Hommage to El-Gazzar by Adel El Siwi was sold in the International Modern and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in Dubai in October 2007. The price achieved of USD 49,000.00 (€ 33,867.85) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Adel El Siwi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Red & The Blue, which sold at auction in April 2012 for USD 158,500.00 (€ 119,812.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Hommage to El-Gazzar von Adel El Siwi wurde im Oktober 2007 in der Auktion International Modern and Contemporary Art bei Christies in Dubai versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 49.000,00 (€ 33.867,85) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Adel El Siwi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Red & The Blue beobachtet, die im April 2012 für USD 158.500,00 (€ 119.812,53) versteigert wurde.
