Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2013 Christies in Dubai held the auction Modern and Contemporary Arab,Iranian and Turkish Art Part I, which included the work The Others by Adel El Siwi. It changed hands for a price of USD 75,000.00 (€ 56,956.26) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Adel El Siwi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Red & The Blue, which sold at auction in April 2012 for USD 158,500.00 (€ 119,812.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2013 führte Christies in Dubai die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Arab,Iranian and Turkish Art Part I durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Others von Adel El Siwi zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 75.000,00 (€ 56.956,26) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Adel El Siwi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Red & The Blue beobachtet, die im April 2012 für USD 158.500,00 (€ 119.812,53) versteigert wurde.
