Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Adel Abdessemed could be acquired at Sothebys in London in June 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction, the work Mappemonde changed hands for GBP 93,750.00 (€ 112,530.59) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Adel Abdessemed - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Klan, which sold at auction in October 2014 for GBP 206,500.00 (€ 263,670.67).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Adel Abdessemed konnte im Juni 2016 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction wechselte die Arbeit Mappemonde für GBP 93.750,00 (€ 112.530,59) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 100.000,00 – 150.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Adel Abdessemed mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Klan beobachtet, die im Oktober 2014 für GBP 206.500,00 (€ 263.670,67) versteigert wurde.
