Auction result well in line with expectations
The work River Scene With Boats by Adam Willaerts was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in February 2013. The price achieved of USD 56,250.00 (€ 43,007.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Adam Willaerts - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Embarkation of the Elector Palatine in the 'Prince Royal at Dover, 25 April 1613, which sold at auction in November 2007 for EUR 156,250.00.

Die Arbeit River Scene With Boats von Adam Willaerts kam im Februar 2013 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 56.250,00 (€ 43.007,88) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Adam Willaerts mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Embarkation of the Elector Palatine in the 'Prince Royal at Dover, 25 April 1613 beobachtet, die im November 2007 für EUR 156.250,00 versteigert wurde.
