The price achieved of GBP 23,750.00 (€ 27,277.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Adam Willaerts have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Embarkation of the Elector Palatine in the 'Prince Royal at Dover, 25 April 1613 in November 2007 with an auction result of EUR 156,250.00.

Die Arbeit A Fortified Coastal Town With Fishermen Unloading Their Catch And Larger Vessels Offshore von Adam Willaerts wurde im Mai 2017 in der Auktion Old Masters bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 23.750,00 (€ 27.277,83) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden.
