Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2009 Sothebys in Amsterdam held the auction Old Master paintings, which included the work A River Estuary With A Royal Barge And Other Shipping, A Ruined Tower And Numerous Figures On The Banks In The Foreground by Adam Willaerts. The price achieved of EUR 48,750.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Adam Willaerts - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Embarkation of the Elector Palatine in the 'Prince Royal at Dover, 25 April 1613, which sold at auction in November 2007 for EUR 156,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2009 führte Sothebys in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Master paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A River Estuary With A Royal Barge And Other Shipping, A Ruined Tower And Numerous Figures On The Banks In The Foreground von Adam Willaerts zur Versteigerung kam.
