Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2002 Christies in London held the auction The Dr Anton C.R.Dreesmann Collection Old Master Pictures, which included the work A coastal view with fisherfolk by Adam Willaerts. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 32,900.00 (€ 53,231.34). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Adam Willaerts - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Embarkation of the Elector Palatine in the 'Prince Royal at Dover, 25 April 1613, which sold at auction in November 2007 for EUR 156,250.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2002 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Dr Anton C.R.Dreesmann Collection Old Master Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A coastal view with fisherfolk von Adam Willaerts zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 32.900,00 (€ 53.231,34) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Adam Willaerts mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Embarkation of the Elector Palatine in the 'Prince Royal at Dover, 25 April 1613 beobachtet, die im November 2007 für EUR 156.250,00 versteigert wurde.
