The auction ended at the price of GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,824.14), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Adam Buck have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Naval Officer holding his sword under his right arm, facing right in blue coat with black facings, yellow trousers, frilled cravat and black stock, powdered hair en queue in May 2002 with an auction result of GBP 5,975.00 (€ 9,356.93).
