Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2003 Christies in Rome held the auction ARTE DEL XIX SECOLO, which included the work Pathos by Achille D'Orsi. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 868.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Achille D'Orsi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pathos, which sold at auction in May 2002 for EUR 1,984.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2003 führte Christies in Rom die Auktion ARTE DEL XIX SECOLO durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pathos von Achille D'Orsi zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 868,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Achille D'Orsi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Pathos beobachtet, die im Mai 2002 für EUR 1.984,00 versteigert wurde.
