Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2021 Christies in London held the auction Old Master Paintings & Sculpture Online, which included the work Shipping off Amsterdam with figures on a quay; and Shipping in an estuary by Abraham Storck. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 60,000.00 (€ 70,362.44), 20% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Abraham Storck achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Capricci of Mediterranean ports: the first with the monument of the Four Moors of Leghorn; the second with a monument of Abundance in July 2000 with an auction result of GBP 443,750.00 (€ 717,537.91).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli 2021 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master Paintings & Sculpture Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Shipping off Amsterdam with figures on a quay; and Shipping in an estuary von Abraham Storck zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 60.000,00 (€ 70.362,44) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Abraham Storck erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Capricci of Mediterranean ports: the first with the monument of the Four Moors of Leghorn; the second with a monument of Abundance im Juli 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 443.750,00 (€ 717.537,91).
