Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The stern of a ship with a town in the background by Abraham Storck was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2020. It changed hands for a price of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,365.68) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 5,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Abraham Storck achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Capricci of Mediterranean ports: the first with the monument of the Four Moors of Leghorn; the second with a monument of Abundance in July 2000 with an auction result of GBP 443,750.00 (€ 717,537.91).
