Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2002 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES, which included the work A country track leading to a farmhouse by Abraham Hulk Jnr.. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 305.50 (€ 498.55) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Abraham Hulk Jnr. achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work View of Albury Heath, Surrey in September 2000 with an auction result of GBP 3,055.00 (€ 5,111.95).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2002 führte Christies in London die Auktion BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES durch, in der auch die Arbeit A country track leading to a farmhouse von Abraham Hulk Jnr. zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 305,50 (€ 498,55) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Abraham Hulk Jnr. erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit View of Albury Heath, Surrey im September 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.055,00 (€ 5.111,95).
